I used to have a post on here that worked, got gilded twice for it actually (weird on ), but I accidentally deleted it. I forget the specifics, but the general idea is you need to do the following: • Play the legit game until the end of the prologue when you arrive at the village after the avalanche. Save the game, exit, find your saves, copy them to a backup folder so you can work with them.

• Copy your pirate saves to another folder too so you can work with them and restore them if needed. • Open up the legit saves in a hex editor (such as HxD, which is free and I recommend). Make note of how the start of the file looks. There should be a random string of characters followed by some periods, then you should start seeing some somewhat-legible text that shows your playtime, what time you saved last, etc.

• Open up your pirate save in a separate window. You should see that the same playtime/savetime information is there, but that there's no string of text for the header. • Copy the string of text from the legit file and paste it (by inserting, not overwriting) into the pirate file at the very beginning. • Compare the two files side by side with two windows of HxD open. The last period before your savetime/playtime information starts should be the same offset (HxD will give you coordinates across the top and left side), the files should be the same up until the same point, then start being different. Basically what you've done is looked at the header of the real game files to see what the game expects, then taken what the real game expects and added it to the pirate file, thus 'standardizing' your pirate file to be what the legit game expects. Sorry I can't be more helpful, if you send me screens of your legit save and pirate save side by side in HxD, I can try to help more.

Hello all, I have played for two hours en saved it and closed FC4 I started up FC 4 again and quess what? In the torture chamber i was, what ever i do, i come back there.

I read this post, which was closed with the reference to ubi support. I went there an saw no solution to this problem. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For some reason every progress after entering the torture chamber right after you get control is NOT getting saved. When I reload the game it always brings me back to the torture chamber right before you meet the first rebel leader.

Anybody having a similiar issue? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So can admins not close this one? And please help, 2 and half hours of gaming are gone! Thx in advance.

Yea Mase1978, you have to finish the first mission. Make it to the Bell Tower, which is not very far. It only takes about 10 minutes. But you still will not be able to save your game even after that, cause there is no save game in farCry 4. I was at the bell tower, and couldn't climb up. Did a lot of exploring and searching before i got there:P It said press left mouse button to climb, but did not work. I quit ( and saved the game ) to search for solution, when i went back in the game ( toture chamber ).

You say: there's no save game in FC 4? Even after completing mission. I remember me saving in FC 1 FC 2 FC 3 ( safe house ) to save where ever i want. Can someone clarify this? Hi all, Have exactly the same problem, just made it to the first tower, before the fight begins, see a lot of save/waypoints on my way to get there, you know the 2 knifes logo says it's saving.

When I quit the game and start it later to go further I was back at the torture room. Missing my collected gun/midipacks and it's over and over again.

(long intro/car crash) Tried the run as admin tip, did a uninstall and reinstall for uplay and FC4. Nothing workt so far. Somebody has a 'try to' tip?

(Or do you really need to go further before it's saved?? So I found how to overcome this problem. Here's what I did: - Launched the game and loaded the last save (torture chamber) - Minimized the game and went into the folder with the game saves, for me it was: X: Program Files Ubisoft Game Launcher savegames d90e9e76-e067-407a-a223-d679c7b17fe3 420, shouldn't be too hard to find. - Deleted the files there. - Next time when the yellow icon showed up in the top right corner (After the car falls off the cliff), I saw the files reappearing in the folder. - I tried to save and quit, and then return to the game and it worked, last save was after the car crash.
